Your Bridal Beauty Timeline

Isabelle Laurent 7 min read

Your wedding day is one of the most photographed days of your life. The last thing you want is to be trying a new treatment for the first time the week before. At AUREA, we work with brides from 12 months out — building a timeline that ensures your skin, hair and nails are in their absolute best condition by the day itself.

12 months before: the consultation

Book an initial skin and hair consultation. This is where we assess your current condition, discuss your vision, and build a bespoke treatment plan. If you want to change your hair colour significantly, this is the time to start — gradual transitions look the most natural.

For skin, we will identify any concerns (pigmentation, scarring, texture) and start a targeted programme. Clinical treatments like microneedling need time between sessions, so starting early is essential.

6 months before: treatment phase

This is the active treatment window. A typical plan might include:

  • Monthly facials alternating between our AUREA Facial and Hydra-Glow Infusion
  • A course of 3 chemical peels spaced 4 weeks apart for texture and tone
  • Scalp treatments if you want thicker, healthier hair for your styling trial
  • A consistent home skincare routine that we will prescribe and adjust as your skin improves

For hair, begin testing updos and styles with your stylist. Bring reference images but trust their expertise on what suits your face shape and hair type.

3 months before: trial sessions

Book your hair trial — ideally with the same stylist who will attend on the day. Bring your veil, accessories, and a photo of your dress neckline. We will photograph every angle so you can review at home.

Book a make-up trial if using a separate artist, and schedule it on the same day as your hair trial so you can see the full look together.

Continue monthly facials. This is not the time to introduce anything new or aggressive — we are maintaining and perfecting.

1 month before: refinement

Your final professional facial should be 2–4 weeks before the wedding. We recommend the Hydra-Glow Infusion for a plump, dewy base.

Nails: If you want gel or BIAB, have a trial set done now to check for any reactions.

Body: Book a body scrub and massage. Not only does this improve skin texture (especially if you have a strapless dress), it is a moment of calm in what is often a hectic month.

The week before

  • Final hair colour touch-up (5–7 days before)
  • Eyebrow shape and tint
  • Final nail appointment (2–3 days before)
  • An express facial only if your skin is well-maintained — nothing new
  • Drink water, sleep well, and delegate anything stressful

The morning of

Arrive with clean, dry hair (no product) and clean, moisturised skin. Trust your team. This is the moment everything comes together.

At AUREA, our Bridal Hair Styling service includes a dedicated consultation, trial session, and wedding-day attendance. We bring calm, precision, and a touch of magic to your morning.
